Don Scotti’s first solo CD, “MOOD SWINGS” is a collection of songs addressing the various and complex aspects of love and relationships
“The most relaxed, unpretentious, effortless, natural, unusually beautiful voice. Subtle and understated, like Boz Scaggs & Chet Baker combined.” – Neil Sedaka
‘MOOD SWINGS’ has been a pet project and labor of love since its inception and will hopefully introduce my voice and vocal style to a broad audience of listeners of every age. On this first CD, I wanted to record some favorites I’ve performed over the years in clubs in New York City as well as Los Angeles. Each song on the album, from Porter to Bacharach & David, Dylan to Nyro, Webb and Sedaka to Stevie Wonder as well as the debut of a Mindy Jostyn tune, delivers a theme of hope or remorse, abandonment or apology, desire or impermanence and ultimately, acceptance. Now, turn down the lights and hit PLAY. Enjoy MOOD SWINGS!” – Don
NEWS! “Lover Boy”, the long-awaited follow-up CD to Mood Swings, continues the many aspects of love in songs through the ages: how we feel, fall, recognize, experience & question the love in our lives, in our hearts and in our souls.
Eleven classic love songs including a medley:
I Remember You / Midnight The Stars and You / I’m Stepping Out With a Memory Tonight,
the poetic French torch song Je Voulais Te Dire Que Je T’Attends, the tender Italian ballad, Come Prima, and For All We Know(Ron Snyder – Piano, Al Scotti – Arranger: A House is Not a Home and Chances Are)
